The Kerrang! Tour this year was a lot of fun. The bands were amazing and it’s always fun to meetup with the rest of the K! gang when we’re all off duty.

I reviewed the Main Stage at the more recent Hevy festival. There were some fantastic bands including Four Year Strong, Funeral For A Friend, We Are The Ocean, and punk veterans Capdown. I remember getting on Capdown’s guestlist when I was 15 years old and thinking that it was all downhill from there, thankfully not the case. Photos by Mr Chris Casey, one of the nicest, most talented guys that I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

This is one of my favourite reviews that I’ve done for Kerrang!, not only was the show great, but the photos (by the talented Mr Ian Collins) could not have tied in any better with the copy. It was Motionless In White’s first ever Kerrang! review and they’re on the cover this week.

Reviewed The Bled’s final show after an illustrious 11 year career on the road. Amazing band, amazing show - fittingly there was blood everywhere and plenty of scuffles with the bouncers.

The beer label that I designed for my friends at Signature Brew made it onto the front pages of, amongst others, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, MTV and the NME (click any of them to see the articles). It’s amazing to get such overwhelming support for the beer. I feel like a proud father.

Last month I reviewed the utterly phenomenal Touché Amoré at the Camden Barfly. I also had a good chat to frontman Jeremy Bolm about the shape of hardcore to come. For me, it’s an honour to be able to work with bands like this - they’re on the forefront of something colossal.

I worked with my good friends at Signature Brew on this special craft beer to celebrate the launch of Craig Finn’s Clear Heart album. The label design was inspired by Craig’s authentic, humble approach to songwriting - as well as reflecting his strong American roots.

The Kerrang! Awards are usually the highlight of the year for me. Getting drunk with your childhood heroes is not always a good idea though.
